On the seventh day
When God finished his work
He then formed man
From the dust of the earth
He gave man a garden
To live as he wished
But there was one single tree
That man could not reach...
"Thou may eat from every tree here
But this fruit is forbidden to thee"
The ancient serpent
Rises from the fields
To whisper on your ears
Untold mysteries
Beyond good and evil
And the true nature of man
If truth is what you seek
You must feast from the forbidden tree
"Your eyes shall be opened
And you shall be like Him"
Now I see what means exist
Free from Him and His sanctity
I came from nothing and now I am here
Consecrated and bound to sin
Torn asunder by the gift of mortality
The spirit wanders
To the spheres of life and death
A mournful silence
Arrives with the fall of man
And the serpent still crawls
In the gardens of God
The original sin is not the ruin of man
It is the sign of our liberation
And the sacrament of our will
Beyond the blinding light of divinity
Now I see what means exist
Free from Him and His sanctity
